COB OVEN Workshops

I have been facilitating Cob oven workshops for several years. The cob oven workshops are a family friendly workshop, were you gain the hands-on skills and knowledge of building an oven from start to finish. I work closely with workshop hosts prior to the workshop to support them to prepare the space and gather all require materials and tools. The benefits of these workshops besides learning a new skill are the new likeminded people we meet, the shared food and stories, the community building. Workshop hosts that can provide it will include camping space for participants to stay during the workshop. These workshops are so much fun, we make a full weekend experience of it, with extra activities including a combine feast on the Saturday. The fun doesn’t stop there, a few weeks later we all get together again and have a pizza and baking afternoon.

TESTIMONIAL:

Renee ran a successful Cob Oven Project with us at Find Your Wings Sanctuary in Brookton over a 2 day overnight workshop back in October 2016. Renee ran a well-organized pre-workshop informative summary of the stages of the build and was a really fun and engaging facilitator throughout the weekend. Renee is well versed in Permaculture and Natural Building and the knowledge she shared with the group was invaluable. We will certainly be welcoming Renee back again for other workshops at FYWS in the future.
